Great idea for a blog. It’s focused on something you are passionate about. That means you will always have something to write about. Congratulations.

It’s true. You woke up and found yourself in Uncle Bardie Country. Now that you have followed Uncle Bardie, you may find yourself at that fork in the road that you have to take. With Uncle Bardie for a guide, you can be comforted that you may stub your toe on a pun, find you can’t resist laughing at those things you never thought funny, and wake up to wonder what Uncle Bardie is up to. It’s okay. That itch can be scratched. Simply tune in to the next Post, It could very well be a doozy or not. Either way it will be coming from the whacky mind of Uncle Bardie. So thanks for following Uncle Bardie’s Stories & Such. It beats bananas any day. Unless…but that’s a whole ‘nother thang. And one last thing. Have a great day (or night, depending on your perspective).

The Bible uses running analogies to coach and inspire perseverance and endurance in the life course God puts us on. He says run the race to win the the prize. Press on. Keep your eyes on Jesus who, for the joy set before Him endured the cross, despising the shame, and sat down at the right hand of the Father. He said consider it all joy when you encounter various trials because you know the trying of your faith produces endurance.

I run, really putt along, because I need to strengthen my spine and hips. I have osteoporosis and research says the spine and hip pounding from running causes the bones to hold on to and beef up bone mass. I’m not sure I ever put out enough effort to get endorphins flowing but I feel accomplished when I’m done and I feel I have deposited a longer life of independent living into my future.

I really enjoyed reading your comment, thank you for that! That’s one on the reasons why I run in the first place! The since of accomplishment after a race or a hard workout is gratifying.
